Guide Right

Guide Right is the national service initiative of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., established to provide mentorship, leadership development, and educational guidance to young people during their most formative years. Rooted in the belief that access, accountability, and positive role models change outcomes, Guide Right focuses on preparing youth for academic success, career readiness, and responsible citizenship.

Through Guide Right, the Kappa League program delivers structured, long-term mentorship to young men in grades 6–12, emphasizing academic achievement, college and career exposure, leadership development, and community service. Participants are challenged to set goals, build discipline, and develop the confidence necessary to succeed beyond the classroom.

In Detroit, these efforts are led by the Detroit Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, whose members are committed to uplifting the next generation through consistent mentorship, advocacy, and community engagement. By leveraging the collective experience, professional expertise, and service-driven legacy of its alumni, the chapter continues to make a lasting impact on Detroit’s youth and the communities they serve.
